The Lifestyle
From here you can be downtown in 15 minutes, at Disney in 20, or at the airport in 30 – without paying the premium that comes with closer-in zip codes. The historic core around McKey Street and Bluford Avenue is finally getting its moment, with Toll Road Brewing, DG Doughnuts, and Bike Life Café anchoring a small but real downtown scene. For a fuller weekend evening you'll still drive 10 minutes west to Plant Street in Winter Garden, but Ocoee is closing that gap fast. Daily life is lake-adjacent – Starke Lake, Lake Olympia, and Bill Breeze Park – with the West Orange Trail running through the area for cycling.
The Highlights
Highway access via SR-408, SR-429, and Florida's Turnpike
Starke Lake and Bill Breeze Park anchor the historic downtown
Active downtown revitalization on McKey Street and Bluford Avenue
West Orange Trail access for biking and running

New Construction
Ocoee's new construction is more pocketed than the Horizon West or Wellness Way corridors, but several active communities are bringing fresh inventory to the West Orange market. D.R. Horton's Wynwood is the largest current offering, with single- and two-story floor plans and smart home packages. Smaller infill builds and custom lots are available throughout the city, and resale of post-2018 homes is plentiful.

01
Highway access is Ocoee's structural advantage – the SR-408, SR-429, and Turnpike interchanges meet here, which is why commuters keep choosing it over equivalent-priced suburbs further out
02
The downtown around McKey Street and Bluford Avenue is the next thing to watch – the city is in the middle of a $44 million capital program to redo public spaces along the western shore of Starke Lake
03
Lake Olympia is a private ski lake with a slalom course – homes with lake access here are rare and trade quickly when they list
04
For a full Plant Street evening, downtown Winter Garden is a 10-minute drive west – most Ocoee residents treat it as an extension of their own downtown
I can tell you what it's really like to live here, what the market looks like right now, and whether it's the right fit for your lifestyle.
