Money Coach Secrets We All Should Follow

It is a great time to buy or sell a home in the Orlando area! Making life-long financial decisions can increase the chances of getting the home of your dreams. Here are 6 secrets that successful money coaches offered Kimberly Palmer at US News Money.

It is important to understand that money coaches are not financial planners or investor advisors. Money coaches help you manage your money to best suit your needs and goals.

  1.  The first secret is to focus on your long-term goals. Most times your long-term goals will force you to give up certain short-term pleasures such as fast food or a morning latte. If you don’t know what your values and goals are, it is time to find out because once you are aware of them you will naturally make decisions to increase the chances of success.
  2. The second secret is to take one or two days a week and do not spend any money. Don’t buy a coffee, pay for parking, or go out to lunch. This can save you a lot of money every month.
  3. The third secret is to do a bank account check-in every day. This shows you exactly where you are and what you have accomplished.
  4. The fourth secret is to take a coffee break while you are shopping. Taking a break lets you sit back, relax, and reflect on your progress. In this time you can focus on the items you have already purchased as well as your monthly budget.
  5. The fifth secret is to learn to listen to what your body is telling you. If you sit down to talk about finances and your muscles tense and you are anxious, maybe you are worried about some aspect of your finances such as an unpaid bill or an avoided conversation. Just close your eyes and focus on what your body is saying.
  6. The last suggestion is to make paying bills fun. Get dressed up, use your fancy dishes, turn on some relaxing music, and celebrate being able to pay your bills. Focus on making it more fun rather than a daunting task.
My goal is to share information to make you more informed when it comes to buying and selling a home. I hope that this blog was informative to you or someone you know. When you are ready to make that move, I am here to help you. If you are unsure what your options are, call me
